Education Center

BANGUR

Bangur proudly serves as the first center of Parichay, established in June 2017. Starting with a single child for an initial four-month period, it focused on fostering trust and building strong relationships with both parents and children.

SALBANI

The Salbani Center of Parichay, situated near the Diana River in the Red Bank Tea Garden area, is uniquely positioned in an elephant-prone region. Despite the challenges posed by the local wildlife, the community’s children have embraced the value of education. Over the years, both teachers and students have demonstrated remarkable commitment, regularly attending classes and overcoming obstacles to achieve their academic goals. Their perseverance reflects a strong belief in the transformative power of education, and we are proud to support their journey.

Dharnipur

The Dharnipur Learning Center, established in April 2020 in the village of Dharnipur, began with a mission to provide quality education to children from underprivileged communities. Initially, the center faced challenges as many parents were concerned that the education might include teachings on religion or casteism, leading to hesitation and reluctance to enroll their children. However, through consistent efforts and a commitment to providing unbiased, inclusive education, the center gradually gained the trust of the local community. During COVID-19 pandemic, the center adapted by offering online teaching, ensuring that students continued to learn despite the challenges. Now, parents recognize the value of the education being provided, and the center continues to empower students with knowledge and skills for a brighter future.

MATIGARA

The Matigara Center, situated in Siliguri, encounters considerable challenges, especially as many parents do not recognize the value of education, often believing their children are destined to work in tea gardens. However, through our dedicated efforts, we are witnessing a positive shift. Attendance has improved significantly, and the children’s perspectives on education are evolving, demonstrating a newfound understanding of its vital role in shaping their futures.

CHENGMARI

The Chengmari Center is one of Parichay’s most successful initiatives, with an attendance rate exceeding 85%. The children are enthusiastic learners, eagerly embracing every opportunity. Some have excelled so remarkably that we have relocated them to Gurukul for advanced educational support. Parichay is grateful for the chance to support these underprivileged children, and their dedication continues to inspire us all.
